FRI 2010: SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS SEEKING EMERGING TOPICS

The IAFC’s Program Planning Committee is finalizing the FRI 2010 program that will wow both loyal attendees and those who have never attended. But it’s not too late to be a part of this year’s dynamic program.
Each year, new ideas and programs come up after the call for papers has been closed. This year, we’re giving you a second opportunity to submit presentations on emerging topics and innovative ideas.

All emerging topics and issues are welcome. The IAFC Program Planning Council specifically seeks submittals in the following areas:

Recovery from the Economic Crisis (e.g., adjusting operating guidelines and standards to meet the realities of today’s fiscal restraints)
-
Technology Integration (e.g., using the cloud and the internet to enhance services)
-
Hazardous Materials Leadership (nontactical)
-
Incident Management Teams
-
Shared Resources, Cooperative Services and Mutual Aid

Interoperability
-
Environmental or Green Issues/Impact
-
Health, Safety and Survival
-
Community Risk Reduction (e.g., residential sprinkler system retrofitting and new construction topics)

Volunteer & Combination Leadership

Fire-based EMS
The Call for Papers is now open and submissions will be accepted until Monday, March 1.
